PUBLIC Consultation Exhibitions into options for improving access to Cardiff International Airport are to be held next week.

The exhibitions follow a detailed study of transport options and the investigation of the traffic and safety problems at Culverhouse Cross by consultants (Arup).

The exhibitions will provide information about the possible public transport and road improvements suggested by the study, to improve access to the airport and ease congestion at Culverhouse Cross.

Improvements to existing bus and train services, bus priority measures and road access from the M4 are all issues covered.

Members of the public are encouraged to raise any issues they feel should be taken into account when making decisions.

The exhibitions are as follows:

Wednesday, July 9, 10am to 7pm at Wenvoe Community Centre, Wenvoe.

Thursday, July 10, 10am to 7pm at Pendoylan Memorial Hall, Pendoylan.

Friday, July 11, 10am to 8pm at Bonvilston Reading Room, Bonvilston.

Saturday, July 12, 10am to 5pm at Highlight Park Community Centre, Stirling Road, Barry.

Officials from the Welsh Assembly Government and its Consultants will be on hand to explain the proposals and answer any questions.
