A DROP-IN centre for victims of domestic violence will be opening its doors for the first time next week.
The new Domestic Violence Drop-in Centre, The Courthouse, King George V Road, Amersham, will open every week on Mondays between 10am and 2pm.
The facility is being provided by Thames Valley Police in partnership with Amersham Victim Support and the Chiltern and South Bucks Domestic Abuse Forum.
The service is open to anyone suffering from domestic abuse who would like to talk about their problems in confidence.
PC Lucy Price, domestic violence officer for the Chiltern Vale police area, said: "Domestic violence is suffered by both men as well as women.
"It affects all cultural, religious and social backgrounds. Many people suffer from domestic abuse for years in silence thinking that they are alone and nobody can help them.
"This is not true. The drop-in centre can offer you that help and support."
