EIGHT years on and Barry’s best party in the park is still going strong and around for its annual weekend shindig.

Cadstock is back at Victoria Park, in Cadoxton, for another weekend of great music on Saturday, July 14 and Sunday, July 15 – and it’s free.

This year another 10 of the best local bands will be taking to the stage to bring you a weekend of live rock and pop music from 1pm each day.

With a bar, great food and refreshments from the Friends Group, ice creams and bouncy castles for the kids, Cadstock, has become Cadoxton’s own little bit of music history and is open to all ages.

The outstanding line up of bands, featuring Outback, Brother Steve, Charlie Mansons Angels, Second Chance, Stratus-Fear, The Flares, Black Jam Circus, 12 Bore, Whitehall Parade and Black Angus plus the Tenovus Choir on Sunday.

Organiser Jon Greatrex said: “The weekend will be full of great music, and be another chilled out party in the park for the whole community.

“Cadstock has become one of the best friendly music festivals in the whole of South Wales and it’s something that the people of Cadoxton are rightly proud of.

“We love welcoming all the people of Barry and all our visitors to Victoria Park for Cadstock and I hope everyone has a super weekend.”

“I want to thank the Vale parks and tourism departments for all their support over the years.

“We couldn’t have this event without them.

The music begins at 1pm on the Saturday.
