COMMUNITY group Beautiful Barry has declared the official winners in its photography competition.
The competition invited photographers to capture the town’s beauty.
The overall winner was 14-year-old Jack Hortop, who also won the ‘Teen’ category.
The other winners were Paul Murphy (professional), Dean Ockerby (under 13) and Kate Walters (amateur).
A group spokesman said: “All the entries were incredible and we were shocked by the response.”
Winners were presented with a mounted print of their image and a trophy to commemorate the event which was hosted by Cariad Cafe Bar, who also donated prizes.
The judges were Rhian Lees of Pride in Barry, Vale mayor Leighton Rowlands, Barry Round Table chairman Barrie Dyer, Vale AM Jane Hutt and the owner of Cariad Cafe.
The group said: “We had representatives from various groups there to celebrate what we think is a beautiful town, thank you all for making the event so lovely.”
