A WEEK of celebration events will take place at a Barry school to mark the end of an era.
Bryn Hafren Comprehensive school will open its doors to the public before it officially closes on August 31.
On September 1, the all-girls school becomes co-educational and will be known as Pencoedtre High School.
To celebrate the 45 years of education Bryn Hafren the week-long events will see the school showcasing the amazing talent the current pupils, including a music performances, an art and design technology exhibition as well as the final presentation evening.
For past pupils wishing to visit the school there will be a celebration evening taking place on Thursday, July 5 featuring guest speakers, music performances and exhibitions of photos and memorabilia.
There will also be the opportunity to take a tour of the school.

The school is also opening the exhibition during the day from Tuesday, July 3 to Thursday, July 5.
Two sessions are available from 9am to 11am and 11am to 1pm.
