SOUTH Wales Police is appealing for witnesses who may have seen a group of people causing criminal damage to a house in Barry.

Officers are investigating two incidents of criminal damage to a property on Pontypridd Road.

The first incident involves a man throwing a brick through a window overnight on April 3, 2018 at 12.58am.

The second incident happened overnight on April 17 at 12.55am where the address is approached by three people, one of whom is wearing a stocking mask over their head and face.

Two of the people throw rocks at the property and the third uses what appears to be a baseball bat to attack the windows of the house.

Police sergeant Mark Jones, of Barry Police Station, said: “This was a very distressing incident for the householder and behaviour like this will not be tolerated.

“We are currently carrying out numerous enquiries including house to house, CCTV checks and forensic enquiries.

“We are appealing for any witnesses who were in the vicinity at the time and who may have seen three people on foot acting suspiciously or who may have seen them enter or exit a vehicle to leave the area.”
