RESIDENTS did a double-take when they found a television legend filming in a Barry Island street on Monday, March 19.
US Knight Rider and Baywatch star, David “The Hoff” Hasselhoff gave Whitmore Bay a miss when filming an advert in, what café owner Marco Zeraschi, has dubbed “Barrywood”.
He was accompanied by his partner Hayley Roberts.
Phyllis Street resident and Barry Island Primary School staff member, Suzanne said: “I was just on my way home from work when I turned the corner and saw his big trailer.
“After waiting for about 10 minutes The Hoff came walking out and over to the small crowd I was amongst.
“What a really nice guy.”
Barry Island is best known for being one of the main locations in BBC comedy, Gavin & Stacey.
The Island has also hosted cast and crew from top television productions including Casualty, Doctor Who, Being Human, and The Sarah Jane Adventures.
