The following cases were heard at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates' Court sitting at Cardiff:

Jade Elizabeth Miller, aged 22, of Robins Lane, Barry, pleaded guilty to five counts of assault and one count of theft. She was sentenced to a total of 14 weeks in prison and ordered to pay £100 compensation and an £115 surcharge.

James Michael Smith, aged 23, of Windsor Court, Barry, pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour. He was sentenced to a total of 15 weeks in prison and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £115 surcharge.

Luke O'Dare, aged 34, of Gerddi Margaret, Barry, pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle after having consumed so much alcohol that the proportion in his breath exceeded the prescribed limit. He was fined £120 and disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 16 month. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.

Roger Beechey, aged 61, of Harlech Gardens, Barry, pleaded guilty to harassment. He was fined £120 and a restraining order was made. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.

Jake O'Brien, aged 30, of North Walk, Barry, pleaded guilty to one count of drunk and disorderly behaviour and one count of possessing cannabis. He was discharged conditionally for 12 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 surcharge.
