SANTA is set to pay a visit to the Barry Tourist Railway in the lead up to Christmas.
Santa’s train, which will run on December 16, 17 and 23, will be pulled by one of the company’s two steam locos, Susan and Jessie.
Railway managing director John Buxton said, “Meeting Santa on the steam train is the best way to see him; there is no queuing, Santa visits every child on the train at their seat and gives each one a quality present.
Adults can sample mulled wine and mince pies afterwards.
The trains, will run from Barry Island Station at 11.45am, 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm. The return journey takes around half an hour. Fares cost £11.50 for adults and £5.50 for young children and can be bought by contacting 02920 511019.
There will also be vintage and wartime Christmas displays at Barry Island Station and craft stalls on some of the days.
