OPEN evenings are behind held for the two new schools set to be opened on the sites of Barry Comprehensive and Bryn Hafren Comprehensive next September.
Parents of current year 6 pupils, as well as parents of pupils currently in years 7-9 at Barry Comprehensive and Bryn Hafren are invited to attend the evenings at the two sites, ahead of making their applications for the 2018/19 academic year.
The open days will give parents the chance to take a tour of the facilities, meet staff and learn more about the curriculum that will be offered at each new school, as well as plans for future improvements and the admissions process.
A presentation will also be given by the executive headteacher for the two new schools, Dr Vince Browne.
The times and dates of the sessions are:
Port Road Site
Wednesday, October 18
Barry Comprehensive School
Year 6: 5pm-6pm
Years 7, 8 and 9: 6pm-7pm
Merthyr Dyfan Road Site
Thursday, October 19
Bryn Hafren Comprehensive School
Year 6: 6pm-7pm
Year 7, 8 and 9: 7pm-8pm
