Evo-Stik Southern League West
Paulton Rovers 0
Cirencester Town 3
CIRENCESTER TOWN gave their manager Charlie Griffin the reaction he was looking for after their 8-2 defeat at Salisbury in the week with a commanding 3-0 win at Paulton.
The team’s leading goalscorer Ben Whitehead netted a flick off a Henry Spalding corner in the second minute and was a constant problem to the Bristol side with his skill and tireless running.
Whitehead was denied by keeper Andrew Hannah on the half-hour and could have had a hat-trick in the second half.
Henry Spalding scored a second goal that had been coming after 10 minutes of relentless pressure from the visitors in the 69th minute
And sub Sam Walsh gave Ciren a third seconds after coming off the bench in the 88th minute to confirm a comfortable success that could have been even easier.
