FOLLOWING a successful session of origami book folding at the Hafod Extra Care Facility Golau Caredig, an invite was extended to Barry & District Soroptimists to repeat the demonstration at The Gathering Place Day Care St Athan.
The centre was full of laughter and some singing, as hedgehogs were made from folding used books.
Tracey Graham gave a brief demonstration which was quickly picked up by the ladies and gentlemen present, who were enthusiastic to complete their hedgehogs and take them home. Henry and Harry were just two of the hedgehogs which were “rehomed" in St Athan.
President Jackie Memory said: “It was a really pleasant morning. We enjoyed meeting everyone at the Centre and were made to feel very welcome.
"Christopher Winsborough, manager of the Hafod Care Association Day Centre in St Athan, said he hoped this would be the beginning of a close friendship between the centre and the Barry and District Soroptimists.
