A DISQUALIFIED driver has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving after a Barry man was hit in Wood Street, Cardiff.
The 45-year-old Arriva Trains Wales employee was taken to the University Hospital of Wales, on July 26, where he is recovering from his injuries.
Driver, Mohammad Yousuf Arshad, 23, of Cathays, Cardiff pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicle taking, driving while disqualified, failing to stop after a road traffic collision, and using a motor vehicle without insurance at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, July 29.
He will appear before Cardiff Crown Court to be sentenced on August 14.
