POLICE are appealing for information after thieves targeted a Barry soft play centre on two occasions, stealing more than £2,000 in cash.

Officers are investigating two burglaries which happened after intruders forced entry into Coconuts, in Sully Moors Road, around 11.45pm on Sunday, June 25.

Officers then report that they “audaciously” returned the following week on Sunday, July 2.

New procedures implemented following the first incident, meant the thieves were unable to gain access to the safe and were forced to take the unit with them.

A Nissan Qashqai, believed to be a 2016 model, was captured on CCTV making off from the scene.

Anyone with information about the vehicle, or who witnessed any suspicious activity on either of the dates, should contact officers via 101, quoting reference 1700245968.
