RHOOSE Pensioners Friday club recently enjoyed a day out to Symonds Yat, Herefordshire, on June 30.
After leaving Rhoose by coach at 10.45am, the pensioners took in a boat ride on the River Wye followed by cream tea and sandwiches at a nearby hotel.
Despite the overcast weather conditions, the day was enjoyed by everyone and the group arrived back in Rhoose at 6pm that evening.
The club meets every Friday afternoon between 2.30pm and 4pm in Rhoose Community Centre on Stewart Road, Rhoose.
There is a small fee to attend initial meetings, however these are free after becoming a longer term member.
Anyone is welcome to attend for a game of bingo and a cup of tea and although most members are of pension age, there is no lower age limit for joining.
Events throughout the year include fish and chip lunches, buffets and Christmas dinner on the premises.
