THE following cases have been heard at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates' Court in the past week.

Simon Dando, 42, of Neil Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to public indecency and possession of Class A drugs. He was committed to a total of 14 weeks in prison and was ordered to register as a sexual offender for the next seven years.

Kasie Ellis, 36, of Clive Road, Barry, pleaded guilty to fraud and false representation for attempting to sell a phone that did not belong to her. She was given a community order not to enter ASDA in Barry for 12 months, as well as being instructed to pay court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £85.

Adam Frazer, aged 27, of Meadow Vale, Barry, pleaded guilty to breach of a restraining order whilst being on a suspended sentence. He was given a two week prison term and instructed to pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Scott Spruce, 43, of Bassett Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to criminal damage, breach of a restraining order and sending offensive or obscene messages. He was asked to pay compensation of £100, court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £115. He was also given a 12 week custodial sentence, suspended for 12 months.

Benjamin Stillman, 21, of Clos Yr Wylan, Barry, pleaded guilty to three counts of criminal damage and was ordered to pay compensation of £500.

Marc Williams, 33, of The Parade, Barry, pleaded guilty to sending threatening messages via Facebook. He was ordered to pay £500 compensation, a victim surcharge of £115 and court costs of £85. He was also given a restraining order preventing him from contacting the victim, as well as a 12 week prison sentence suspended for 12 months.

Phillip Svendsen, 50, of Blenheim Close, Barry, was found guilty of assault by beating. Mr Svendsen was given a restraining order against contacting the victim, as well as being instructed to pay £200 costs, a victim surcharge of £85 and compensation of £100.

Mason Lewis, 20, of Phyllis Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to assault by beating of two police officers. He was instructed to undertake 140 hours of unpaid work, in addition to paying £600 compensation, an £85 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
