The FAMILY of a motorcyclist who died following a collision on the B4268 in the Vale of Glamorgan on Saturday afternoon, have paid tribute to him.

Fifty-two-year-old Andy Beynon, from Llanelli, died at the scene of the collision involving his motorcycle and a Land Rover Freelander, which occurred between Pentre Meyrick Cross and Llysworney shortly after 1.55pm on Saturday, June 24.

Paying tribute, his wife Dawn said: "Andy was the love of my life.

"We met when we were both teenagers and have been happily married for last 32 years.

"He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother – a family man - with many, many friends.

“He dedicated his time to help others and work tirelessly helping children with exceptional special needs.

"He always wanted them to be happy and was happier in the background doing all the hard work, organising and fundraising to allow others to enjoy the spotlight.

"The children utterly adored him - he just had that ‘special gift’ to make them smile.

"He always had smile on his face and had a wickedly fun sense of humour, playing practical jokes whenever he could as he loved winding people up. He just had a giant heart and always wanted to give and never receive.

"Andy lost his life enjoying one of his many pleasures – riding his motorcycle. He was out that day giving his free time to teach others how to become a better rider. That was my Andy.

"We are all heartbroken as a family and our world will never be the same. We take comfort knowing that we all have such happy memories of how he lived his life and they will stay with us forever.

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the emergency services who attended the scene for all their efforts that day."

South Wales Police is continuing to investigate the collision and any witnesses who have not yet spoken to an officer are urged to contact 101, quoting reference 1700243818.
