A CANDLE-LIGHTING event on Father’s Day has raised £147 for the British Heart Foundation.
Barry mayor, councillor Nic Hodges hosted the 11th annual event at the Merthyr Dyfan Chapel, in Barry cemetery, on Sunday, June 18.
The event was held for everyone missing a father, son, brother or uncle
Cllr Hodges said: "A big thank you to everyone who supported the candle lighting event this year. £147 was raised to support this important charity.
"The cemetery was looking beautiful in the hot sunny weather. It was great to chat to some old friends I regularly see at this event."
