A TEENAGER has pleaded guilty to an attempted armed robbery at a Barry shop.
A 15 year old male, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted having an imitation firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence and attempted robbery when he appeared at Cardiff Magistrates' Court on May 23.
The incident happened at the Sai newsagents on Coldbrook Road West at approximately 9.50am on Monday, May 22.
A specialist search team of police officers searched the area and later found the imitation firearm.
He has been released on conditional bail and is due to be sentenced at Cardiff Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, June 14.
