THE Age Connects Cardiff and Vale Senior Health Shop, in Holton Road, will run two information sessions on Tuesday, January 24 from 10am to noon.

One of the sessions will give people the opportunity to find out more about scams and how to report them. If you would like more information on how to avoid scams online, over the telephone or face-to-face, then visit the shop to speak to a professional advisor who will also have leaflets for people to take home about the latest scams and how to deal with them.

No appointment is needed for this session.

Running on the same day will be members from the Care and Repair Cardiff and Vale who will be able to help people who are elderly or disabled find out what support they can get for repairs or home improvements.

The team help older homeowners and private tenants adapt and maintain their homes, give advice on grants and also give information on reputable companies to use.

Then on Monday, January 30, a retired tax professional adviser will speak to visitors about their tax affairs. Anyone who is worried about their tax affairs and is nervous about approaching HMRC can come along to the free tax advice session.

No appointment is needed and the session will run from 9.30am until 11.30am.

These sessions run monthly on a Monday morning.

On Thursday mornings, there will be digital drop in sessions set up by digital champions from Newydd Housing Association, Barry Communities First and the Vale of Glamoragn Council.

If you would like to learn how to use a new tablet, computer or smart phone, then head along to these free sessions running from 10am until noon.

Sessions will help you learn new skills or improve them, look for work, shop online, save money, how to use the internet, how to keep in touch with family and friends and more.

You can bring your own device to the session or use one provided. No appointment is needed.
