STUDENTS at a Barry school have been getting involved in local democracy recently.
Barry Comprehensive School has been playing its part by voting in the Vale youth mayor elections whilst staff at the school voted for this year’s headboy and headgirl.
This year, three youth cabinet members are standing in the election for Vale youth mayor including Daley Chapman and Rhys Powell from the school and Daniel Marshall.
Staff votes saw Ben Rose and Lizzie Scott elected as Head Boy and Head Girl respectively.
A spokesman for the school said: "Well done to all the candidates for putting themselves forward and trying to make a positive difference in their school and community."
