The following cases were heard at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates’s Court sitting at Cardiff:
Shae Robert Mialkowski, aged 21, of Edward Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to stealing foodstuffs and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards a PCSO. He was sent to prison for 10 weeks and ordered to pay a £115 surcharge.
Nicola Ann Marie Robson, aged 38, of Narberth Court, Barry, was found guilty of driving without insurance and driving without a licence authorising her to drive a vehicle of that class. She was fined £660 and disqualified from driving for six months. She was ordered to pay a £66 surcharge.
Thomas Paul Davenport, aged 33, of Tydfil Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to three counts of assault. A community order was made requiring 200 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months. A restraining order was also made and he was ordered to pay £660 compensation and £150 costs.
Michael James Bisgrove, aged 51, of Porthkerry Road, Barry, pleaded guilty to harassment. He was sent to prison for 16 weeks and a restraining order was made. He was ordered to pay a £115 surcharge.
Anastarsia Louise Baker, aged 21, of Dryden Terrace, Barry, pleaded guilty to permitting someone to drive a vehicle without insurance. She was fined £185 and her licence endorsed with six penalty points. She was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.
Jay Lewis Tierney, aged 22, of Holton Road, Barry, pleaded guilty to drunk and disorderly behaviour. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.
Sarah Jane Sutton, aged 50, of Carew Place, Barry, pleaded guilty to possessing the class B drug cannabis. She was fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 surcharge.
