TWO Barry stage school pupils will enjoy a magical performing experience when they take to the stage at Disney World, Florida next week.

Tia Bryant, 12, and Ollie Bartlett, 15, will join fellow Stagecoach Theatre Arts Schools members for a dream opportunity to star at the main Waterside Stage on August 21.

Ollie said: “The opportunity and experience of a lifetime is the only way to describe it. The fact that we are the first British group to perform there is an honour that only the 24 of us will ever have and it’s quite daunting to realise the sheer amount of pressure that comes with this golden opportunity. I can’t wait for Florida.”

Tia said: “This past year has been really hard work leading up to Florida, all of the extra rehearsals and all the time taken to make sure it is perfect has all been worthwhile.

"I've enjoyed every single minute of the lead up and the rehearsals have all been so much fun. This has been my dream since I was a little girl to perform in Disney and it has finally come around to me, I couldn't be more excited.”

Stagecoach choir principal, Rhiannon Imiolczyk said the invite had arrived as a result of their performances in Disneyland Paris Videopolis Theatre two years ago.

She said: “What I remember the most is the look on the pupils' and parents' faces. I knew at that moment I had to do everything possible make this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity a reality and to make their dreams come true."
