The following cases were heard at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates' Court sitting at Cardiff.

Wyatt Jacob Elijah Hunter, aged 20, of Holmes Street, Barry pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards a police officer. He was sentenced to eight weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £115 surcharge.

Billy Yeoman, aged 18, of Jackson Quay, Barry, pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour. He was discharged conditionally for 12 months and ordered to pay £50 compensation, £50 costs and a £20 surcharge.

Jacob James Swan, aged 26, of Laleston Close, Barry, pleaded guilty to drug driving, driving without a licence and driving without insurance. He was fined £120 and disqualified from driving for 35 months. He was also ordered to pay a £30 surcharge.

Ben Michael White, aged 29, of Laleston Close, Barry, pleaded guilty to two counts of assault, unlawful damage of a garden fence and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour. He was fined £100 and ordered to pay £150 costs and £30 compensation.

Adrian Emary, aged 32, of Jewel Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to attending an address and speaking to a person he was prohibited from contacting by a restraining order. He was sent to prison for 16 weeks. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £115 surcharge.

James Lee Harries, aged 34, of Riverside Place, Barry, pleaded guilty to taking a vehicle without consent and causing £5000 worth of damage to the vehicle, two counts of driving whilst disqualified, two counts of driving without insurance, to causing unlawful damage to a car windscreen and failing to provide a breath specimen for analysis. He was sent to prison for a total of six months, disqualified from driving for six years and ordered to pay a £115 surcharge.

Dean Mark Williams, aged 52, of Holton Road, Barry, pleaded guilty to stealing £120 worth of diesel, driving a vehicle without a licence, driving without insurance, driving without a test certificate, driving an unlicensed vehicle and failing to surrender to custody. He was ordered to pay £120 compensation, was disqualified from driving for 12 months and was ordered to pay £85 costs and an £85 surcharge.

Michael Berridge, aged 46, of Cornwall Road, Barry, pleaded guilty to damaging three vehicle windows and two tyres, and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour. He was sentenced to eight weeks in prison suspended for 12 months and was ordered to pay £1721.62 compensation, fined £750 and ordered to pay £85 costs.

Phillip Tamlin, aged 40, of Dunlin Court, Barry, pleaded guilty to stealing food worth £8.99, using threatening or abusive words or behaviour and failing to surrender to custody. He was sentenced to a total of 14 weeks in prison and ordered to pay a £115 surcharge.
