MORE than 3000 music-lovers gathered for the two-day Cadstock Festival on the weekend – braving all weather conditions in the process.
Crowds gathered at Victoria Park, Cadoxton, Barry, for the popular annual shindig staged by Vale of Glamorgan council park officers, celebrating the best of local bands.
Organiser Jon Greatrex said: “Despite the drizzle on Saturday Victoria Park was packed with concert goers enjoying the music from five of Barry and the Vales finest bands.
"Early-birds were setting up gazebos and chairs from 8am in the morning to make sure they had a prime spot. From the first chords of Outback, to the last note of Brother Steve’s set, there was no way that a bit of traditional British summer dampness was going to stop the party.”
“Sunday dawned bright and sunny, which was more in keeping with the Cadstock legend of always having good weather," he added. "So it was on with another five great sets from the bands, and this time the umbrellas were sun-shades.
“The organisers would like to thank everyone who came and sang, played, danced, helped, and supported us to make Cadstock 2016 another vintage year. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. “
