SOUTH Wales Police are appealing for information after a robbery in the early hours of this morning.

Two mobile phones were stolen from a group of three men whilst walking along Court Road, in Barry, at around 5am

The main suspect is described as a white man, bald with freckles and aged between 20-30. He was wearing a grey hoody and jeans, black and blue Nike ‘high-tops’ with a large silver watch and red cap.

The boys were initially approached by him outside Tesco on Main Street and asked if they had seen somebody. They were then threatened to hand over their phones while stood at the junction of Court Road and Barry Road.

Another man suspected of being involved has been described as a skinny, pale and white man with grey hair, between 40 and 50 years-old. He was wearing glasses, a grey polo top and dark trousers.

DI Michelle Conquer, said: “Mobile phones are valuable and resellable, making owners targets for opportunists.

“I am urging people to mindful of this when they are out and be aware of their surroundings, especially late at night or in the early hours of the morning when there are not many people around.”
