BARRY’S Waterfront development The Quays, has seen the first phase of its houses sell out in under two years.

Persimmon Homes East Wales’ Westhaven scheme at Barry Docks has proved popular with the first batch of 138 houses already snapped up.

The builder has now released the second phase of the development, made up of 35 units in the form of apartments, two beds and a small selection of three-beds.

The first residents are due to move into the houses on the new phase in November, with further phases of construction at Westhaven planned for the future.

The sales director at Persimmon Homes East Wales Victoria Williams said: “Our Westhaven development has proved to be very successful with an average of seven sales a week.

“The development looks fantastic and it’s great to see so many families enjoying their new homes.

“We’re delighted to be able to release this second phase, which I’m sure will sell out very quickly.

“We have some high quality apartments to sell for the first time, and these are sure to be popular with first-time buyers and young couples.

“I’d urge people to visit our marketing suite sooner rather than later.”

Westhaven boasts views over the channel, Sully Island, Flat Holm and Steep Holm islands.

The development has easy access to Barry town centre and is a short drive from Penarth and Cardiff.
