FOUR music students have been congratulated for their hard work and for performing at this year’s South Glamorgan Festival for Young Musicians.

Isobelle Lambert, Olivia Kaunhoven, Tabitha Hughes and Jack Ollier all receive lessons from Barry-based teacher Jo Weaving.

Isobelle, Olivia and Tabitha presented themselves and performed to an extremely high level in the intermediate piano class, all receiving excellent feedback from adjudicator Beate Toyka.

Jack performed to an extremely high standard in both the young recitalist class and intermediate piano class.

Jack went on to be placed both first and second in the intermediate woodwind class performing on both the recorder and clarinet.

Jack was then invited to perform in the Festival Gala Concert in Cardiff where he was awarded the prize for most promising woodwind performer from across the whole of the festival competition.
