OVER 55 members of Friends and Neighbours enjoyed an afternoon at Beryl Road Pioneer Hall tucking into fish and chips from Fryer Tuck Fish and Chip Shop.

This was followed by banoffee gateau with cream and tea/coffee.

The members were also able to get books from the pop up library enabling members who could not go to the library to obtain reading material.

Entertainment was provided by St Helens Primary School's Year 6 pupils singing a melody of lyrics from countries round the world. The enthusiasm and harmonising from the youngsters was amazing.

The members clapped along to the songs and were given musical instruments to take part, it was an integrated afternoon and the members were moved by the music.

Following this the youngsters enjoyed tucking into biscuits and having a glass of squash. A vote of thanks was given to their singing teacher Laura and to the children.

Forms were given to the members with a questionnaire on the Crown Post Office closure and many filled them in ready to be given in for next consultation meeting.

Members are now looking forward to their trip to Weston-Super-Mare and lunch at Cadburys Garden Centre and visit to Fonmon Castle with a tour and afternoon tea.
