BARRY Dock RNLI fundraising team will hold their Annual General Meeting at the RNLI lifeboat station on March 1.

All are welcome to attend from 7.30pm to hear more about the work of the group that raised nearly £30,000 in 2015 to support the lifesaving work of the charity.

Volunteer opportunities are available at the station now.

The lifeboat station, based at Barry Island, has multiple vacancies for energetic and dynamic individuals who have the creativity and drive to transform its approach to fundraising.

The part time volunteer posts offer an opportunity to develop leadership and communication skills whilst building a portfolio of success in this field.

Full training is provided.

A Barry Dock RNLI lifeboat spokeswoman said: “This is an exciting time for the RNLI lifeboat station in Barry, which has a significant fundraising project to be delivered in the coming months.”
