AGE Connects Cardiff and Vale Senior Health Shop, 38 Holton Road, Barry, offers a wide range of services to those living in Barry and surrounding areas.

The Ageing Well Project Cafe is open on Mondays from 9.30am to noon, on Tuesday from 9.30am to 1.30pm, on Wednesday from 10.30am to noon, Thursday 9.30am to noon and Friday from 9.30am to noon.

Tea/coffee, snacks, breakfast and light meals are available at very reasonable prices. Why not come along and make new friends at the same time enjoying a chat.

Information and advice is also available on issues related to the elderly. Free monthly information sessions include welfare rights, legal advice, energy advice, tax and also information sessions on health topics throughout the year.

Activities are also run on a weekly basis are Stitch and Bitch on a Monday morning for anyone that sews, knits, crochet etc they meet 9.30am to 11.30am. It's a great way of making new friends and having fun.

On Wednesday morning from 9.30am to 10.30am there is an extend class with gentle keep fit exercises to music. It is a great way of making friends and having fun.

Have you got a new computer or maybe had a tablet for Christmas and need some help, you can learn or improve your current skills and have one-to-one group support.

Learn to use email, the internet, etc, you can just come along on Thursday mornings from 10am to noon. The class is free so why not give it a go.

A monthly health and diet club is run on Wednesday mornings from 10.45am to noon, following the extend class you can get a free health check.
