DYFFRYN Gardens is putting on three charity Christmas choir concerts this December to fund raise for its fountain project.

On December 4, Voicemale and Women in Harmony will performed followed by Allegra Ladies Choir on December 11 and finally on December 18 the Spectrum Singers.

As many visitors to Dyffryn Gardens may have noticed there is a large concrete pit at the bottom of the great lawn. Once a majestic fountain pool the water feature has fallen into disrepair and has lain dry for many years due to very leaky foundations.

After a very successful project, undertaken this year, to restore three of the garden rooms to their former glory the team at Dyffryn Gardens has set their sights on their next project.

Four choirs are donating their skills and time for free to help Dyffryn launch its fundraising for the fountain. Voicemale, Women in Harmony, Allegra Ladies Choir and Spectrum Singers are all taking part to get you into the festive spirit and deliver a beautiful sound.

Kate Simons, visitor experience manager at Dyffryn said, “We are so thrilled that all four choirs have given us their time to help us restore the gardens, most of them have sung with us in the past so they are becoming a real part of our Christmas team. They are incredibly professional choirs too and the calibre is very high so they are not to be missed.”

Tickets are £15 each and include a glass of bubbly and a mince pie at interval, 90 per cent of the ticket price will go directly into the fountain fundraising pot. The choirs are singing in the beautifully decorated Great Hall of Dyffryn house on the following dates at 7.30pm.
