FRIENDS of Barry Beaches will be holding their next local beach clean at the Knap beach on Sunday, July 26.

The team will be meeting adjacent the public toilets at the usual time of 3pm.

If you like visiting clean and tidy beaches then why not spend an hour of your time volunteering to keep it that way?

A group spokeswoman said: "We need more volunteers to spend just one hour helping to keep our beautiful beaches clean and tidy.

"So if you enjoy walking your dog on clean beaches or enjoy a bit of sea fishing on clean unspoilt beaches then why not join us and spend a couple of hours helping us remove all the rubbish and fishing line?"

All litter picking equipment will be supplied but volunteers are advised to wear sturdy shoes or boots and dress for the weather conditions on the day.
