CCTV monitoring in Barry led to five arrests made last week.

The Vale of Glamorgan Council's CCTV team contacted police a total of 69 times during the week ending Sunday, June 22.

On Monday, June 15 four separate arrests were made on Main Street, Barry Road, Court Road and Holton Road of people who were all wanted on warrants.

And on Holton Road, Barry on Tuesday, June 16 one person was arrested for theft.

All crimes are alleged at the time of incident.

The Vale of Glamorgan’s CCTV operation is part of the Safer Vale Partnership, which comprises of representatives of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Police, Fire and Rescue, Probation and Crown Prosecution Services, Vale Local Health Board, NHS Trusts, Vale Council for Voluntary Service and other statutory and voluntary bodies.
