IT WAS another great Saturday for the Spartans with both the first and second teams winning and remaining top of their respective leagues.

The first team scored 220 for five against St Fagans at Wenvoe with the the opposition being bowled out for 202 and the Spartans winning by 18 runs, with C Howe and Krishna getting the all important runs and D Ponse and Kanishk the wickets.

The second team travelled to Panteg and chased down the home sides total of 156 all out in 28 overs for the loss of three wickets, winning by seven wickets, with Davies, Khan and Morgan taking the all important wickets and Duvuru, Vijay and Sathish the winning runs.

This Saturday the firsts are away to Abercarn and the seconds play Pontypridd at Wenvoe.
