HILTON Cardiff manager, Marie Fagan, presented a cheque for £7,540 to Ty Hafan, which offers support to children with life-limiting illnesses, as part of a total £13,000 raised for the charity at the hotel’s annual ball.

Guests at Hilton Cardiff’s Carnival Ball bid generously for a number of luxury prizes, including an 11 day leisure cruise, Six Nations hospitality packages and signed memorabilia, proceeds of which were split between Ty Hafan and Hilton in the Community Foundation, Hilton Worldwide’s resident charity.

The donation is the most recent chapter in Hilton Cardiff’s ongoing support for the Ty Hafan, having raised almost £28,000 for the children’s hospice over the last three years.

Marie Fagan, general manager at Hilton Cardiff, said: “I think we would all agree that the work Ty Hafan does to look after children and families in Wales at the most difficult times is truly outstanding.

“We graciously thank our guests for helping us to dedicate ongoing support to the charity, and for allowing Ty Hafan to continue delivering a much needed service to those who need it most.”

Alison Stallard, head of business and community fundraising at Ty Hafan, said: “We feel extremely fortunate to be benefiting from Hilton’s Cardiff Ball. The funding we have been awarded will enable us to support life-limited children and their families from across Wales. A huge thank you to Hilton Cardiff and their guests for supporting us.”
