A NEW department store has opened in Barry creating 20 new jobs, with a £250,000 investment.
The Original Factory Shop, the chain of local discount department stores, has opened on Thompson Street, Castleland, on the site of the former magistrates court.
Store manager, Samantha Fresa said: “There’s a real buzz around town about the store opening. We’re hoping that our blend of well-known brands, great value and unbeatable prices will make us a firm favourite with local and visiting shoppers alike”
Shoppers at the 4,800 sq ft store can find men’s, ladies’ and children’s fashions, as well as home wares, electrical goods and beauty products, including a large selection of branded goods – a value product mix that is proving popular in the current retail climate.
New deals will be introduced every week, offering customers the opportunity to shop locally without having to compromise on choice, quality or value. There is also an extreme discount zone, with prices slashed, reduced and cut again.
