POLICE in Barry are trying to trace this woman in relation to a distraction burglary, where an elderly man had his wallet stolen from his home.

Police wish to speak to the woman in order to eliminate her from their enquiries.

It is believed that she was in the area of Catherine Meazey flats on Sunday, May 3 around the time of a distraction burglary of a 78-year-old man.

During the incident a woman knocked on the man’s door and asked if she could use the toilet. Before leaving, the woman stole his wallet.

Detective Inspector Clive Bevan said: “We wish to trace this woman as she may be able to assist with our enquiries and we are appealing for her to get in touch with us directly.”
