COUNCILLOR Rob Curtis has pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl while volunteering at Skomer Island last June.
The 50-year-old Vale of Glamorgan and Barry Town councillor of Merthyr Dyfan Road, Barry, appeared before Haverfordwest magistrates court this morning (Tuesday, April 14) and denied an allegation that he touched the girls leg in a sexual manner when she did not consent and when he did not reasonably believe that she was consenting.
A trial date has been set for June 10. Curtis has been released on unconditional bail until that date.
