THE Vale Jazz organisers are waiting for the outcome of a bid with the Arts Council for Wales before the event can proceed.
In addition to support from the Vale Council, Newydd Housing and Cardiff Bus, the organisers have approached Barry Waterfront developers to see if they would support the event.
The event planned for June 18-21 in and around Barry Island will feature 20 bands playing in 10 venues.
An open meeting to discuss the event will be held on Thursday, April 23, at Barry Civic Offices at 7pm.
Chair Cllr Richard Bertin is inviting all to attend.
