MORE than 300 Easter eggs will help keep a charity’s children happy thanks to a Vale power station donation.

Aberthaw Power Station staff and contractors worked together on an Easter egg hunt to rival all others, providing the chocolate treats to Sully-based children’s hospice Ty Hafan.

Station staff and colleagues from on-site contractors including Palmers, Excel, Cape, Hertel, PDC, SET and Time For Recruitment, donated to the charity’s appeal following a request from the station’s business support assistant, Melanie Regan.

Melanie said: ”The response from the teams onsite was amazing, I hope the collection of chocolate and toys will make the Easter weekend at Ty Hafan extra special.”

The team also collected soft toys, craft sets, books, egg hunt baskets and £260 in cash donations to ensure the families, staff and children at Ty Hafan have an ‘eggstatic’ holiday.

All the donations have been delivered to Ty Hafan for the weekend Easter celebrations.

Aberthaw Power Station has contributed more than £30,000 to the local hospice in 10 years and continues to support the charity through fundraising, donations for the charity shops and staff volunteering.

Ty Hafan provides support to life limited children and their families.
