PALMERSTON Primary School, Barry received a visited from Jane Hutt AM who congratulated the school, governors, teachers, pupils on the successful development of a ‘scrap-store play-pod’.
The play-pod uses abundant, safe, scrap materials from business and industry for creative play and was funded by Dow Corning with funds also raised by local companies such as Cabot.
Whilst the children enjoying using the playground, the AM congratulated the school for raising funds to support this way of engaging the imagination of children which she said reflected the key principles of the Welsh Government’s Play Policy which she launched when she was Minister for Children.
