CCTV monitoring in Barry led to eight arrests made and one missing person found last week.
The Vale of Glamorgan Council's CCTV team contacted police a total of 55 times during the week ending Sunday, March 22.
On Monday, March 16 two people were arrested on Beryl Road, Barry for going equipped for theft.
Two arrests were made on Wednesday, March 18 on Holton Road, Barry for theft.
On Friday, March 20 one person was arrested on Evans Street, Barry for being outstanding wanted, and another was arrested on Holton Road, Barry for burglary.
On Sunday, March 22 two people were arrested for separate incidents of theft, one on Holton Road, the other on Main Street, Barry.
All crimes are alleged at the time of incident.
The Vale of Glamorgan’s CCTV operation is part of the Safer Vale Partnership, which comprises of representatives of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Police, Fire and Rescue, Probation and Crown Prosecution Services, Vale Local Health Board, NHS Trusts, Vale Council for Voluntary Service and other statutory and voluntary bodies.
