ON February 26, Barry Comprehensive School’s Main Hall was filled with companies, businesses and organisations welcoming students to the annual careers fair.
Hundreds of students visited the stalls to find out about the opportunities in the workplace and in further education.
Business visitors ranged from global to local and included the Royal Navy, HSBC, Keepmoat, Dow Corning, CITB, British Telecom and Lafarge Tarmac.
Other organisations included Vale Volunteer Bureau, ACT, RTPI and Cardiff and Vale UHB Dental Nursing.
Welsh Universities were also keen to let students know what they had to offer, with stands from Aberystwyth University, Cardiff University, Cardiff Metropolitan University, Swansea Metropolitan University and the University of Wales (Trinity) being very popular.
Cardiff and Vale College also provided information on their degree courses including aircraft engineering.
The school is grateful to all the attendees for their time and commitment to showing students’ some of the huge range opportunities available to them.
