A NEW national competition set up by South Wales Police aims to find tech savvy companies who can offer potentially transformational crime fighting technology.
South Wales Police in conjunction with Gwent Police, the Welsh Government and Innovate UK have launched the ‘Next Generation Predictive Policing Project’.
The competition which is part of the Fusion programme aims to change policing through the use of predictive policing solutions which will help maximise the effectiveness of resources and enhance the service provided to South Wales communities.
The project is one of the latest competitions launched through the Welsh Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) Innovation Catalyst Programme which opens up new opportunities for the business community to help solve challenges facing public sector organisations in Wales.
Businesses can bid for R&D funding available via the SBRI scheme.
Companies who feel they have what it takes can compete for a share of the funding.
