STUDENTS and staff at Barry Comprehensive School stayed on after lessons were finished recently to welcome visitors to the school’s annual open evening.
An exciting programme of demonstrations, workshops and experiments entertained and informed the visiting Year Five and Six students and their parents and families. Many future students joined in with the learning activities and were very motivated.
The visitors were able to quiz current students about their experiences at the school as well as talking to teachers about the range of subjects on offer. The gardening club took the opportunity to display a bounty of crops harvested from the school garden.
Head teacher, Gerard McNamara said, “The open evening was a great success. Visitors were keen to discover what Barry Comprehensive School has to offer and were impressed by the high quality of the work showcased during the evening.”
