THEO Watkins from Morrisons in Barry has graduated from a Butchery Craft Apprenticeship Programme to be a fully qualified butcher at the Heol Ceiniog store.
He enrolled upon the course in September 2013 and over 13 months acquired the skills and experience needed to become professionally qualified.
Theo studied for four weeks at top butchery college University College Birmingham alongside expert tutors plus time at Morrisons farm in Dumfries with the agricultural team. He has now joined the in store team as a qualified butcher.
Mickey Greenhalgh, Head of Craft and Functional Skills at Morrisons Academy said: “We are thrilled that Theo has completed his Craft Apprenticeship in Butchery. They have worked extremely hard throughout the year and have graduated with flying colours. Talented people are our greatest asset, particularly those school leavers starting their careers with us.”
