AFTER the success of last year’s initiative which saw Peter’s give groups, charities and schools across South Wales vital funding, they are now giving local communities another chance to apply for a ‘Slice of the Pie’.

It can be hard to fundraise so that’s why Wales’ favourite pie maker has pledged to make donations up to the value of £1,000 to deserving groups, sports teams and schools across the Vale of Glamorgan.

If your group or club hopes for a new kit or equipment why not apply for funding via Peter’s ‘Slice of the Pie’ website, telling them how much you would like to apply for and exactly what the donation will be spent on.

Last year, Barry based learning disabilities charity, Vale Plus, received a donation of £250 worth of brand new gardening equipment

Vale Plus Manager Steve Thomas said: “We were delighted with the funding from Peter’s Food.

“We have over 100 attendees from all over the Vale and Cardiff and donations are vital to ensure we can keep activities fun and interesting for every single one of our members.

“Our members take great pride in the garden and these tools allowed us to look after the area and make it a better place to work in.”

The deadline is Friday, December 5 and winning teams/clubs must be willing to take part in publicity activities. Application forms are available from www.petersfood.co.uk/sliceofthepie.

Printed forms can be sent to: Slice of the Pie, Peter’s Food, Unit 1, Bedwas Industrial Estate, Caerphilly, CF83 8XP.
