A STORY written by children at Barry Library is being tweeted in instalments, with readers being encouraged to retweet the tale and help it get as big an audience as possible
To celebrate “Chatterbooks Week”, a children’s group at Barry Library created their own story with the help of author Francesca Kay.
People will have the opportunity to read the story on Twitter as it is sent out on various occasions over the next few weeks.
The Vale Libraries Twitter account @VOGLibraries will send out a series of tweets making up the whole story.
The first instalment was tweeted on Tuesday 14 October with the next parts coming on Sunday, October 19 at 3.30pm, Sunday, October 26 at 9.30am, and Sunday, November 2 at 2.30pm.
Social media savvy residents are being asked to retweet the story using #LoveLibraries to help support the group and get the children’s story circulating as far and wide as possible.
Chatterbooks Reading Groups are organised by The Reading Agency and are set up to encourage children aged four to 12 to have a great time talking about books.
