A third of workers are earning money from cooking, gardening, photography or other creative pursuits outside of their main job, according to a new study.

A survey of over 1,000 workers showed that an increasing number were turning hobbies or other skills into money-earning ventures.

Print and design company MOO said its research showed that half of those making money from a creative venture wanted to make it their main job.

Teresa Pereira of MOO said: "More and more people are successfully supplementing their income doing the things they love."
